Toy Haulers

Toy haulers are travel trailers with a twist: at least a portion of the interior living space plays double duty as a garage on wheels. These versatile RVs are sometimes referred to as “sports utility recreational vehicles” due to the extra utility that they offer. They typically feature a fold-down ramp in back that allows you to drive an ATV or other vehicle up inside the body of the trailer for easy transport. When you arrive at your destination, you simply drive your “toys” down the ramp, close it back up, and the space that they occupied can be used for storage, living space, or even sleeping quarters. Some models even include a gas tank that you can use to fuel up ATVs and other small vehicles during an extended trip.

Since the term “toy hauler” simply refers to the presence of a fold-down ramp and internal storage for small motor vehicles, you can find toyhauler travel trailers and fifth wheels.
