Palomino has specialized in towable RVs since the late 1960s, when founder Vern Landley started Vangard Industries with the intent of building tent trailers. Since then, the brand has expanded to become one of the few RV manufacturers to offer pop up truck campers in addition to a wide range of towables. In 1998, Vangard Industries was acquired by Forest River, which rolled the Palomino brand into its rapidly-expanding family of RV manufacturers.
Today, Palomino continues to produce both tent trailers and truck campers in addition to a full line of travel trailers, fifth wheels and toy haulers, including a range of lightweight towables suitable for smaller tow vehicles.
